I brought in (2) Dr. Otek Detector Kits for the club hunt. We now have a total of (6) detectors:
- Minelab Xterra Pro
- (3) Minelab GoFind 66s
- (2) Otek Detectors

Also bought in (13) Large Coin books for prizes. $50 Just under $4 each. These are $20 each when new.

I bought some great coins at the Muncie Coin Club so now we are $200.00 in debt, but we will correct that this evening with sales from the auction.

This month’s meeting, February 18th, is an auction night. Bring in your goods!

Field hunting Tips:
• FIRST - make sure you have the owners permission to hunt ANY area, field, lawn, garden, woods, etc.
• If you want to find pre-1900’s coins…fields are the ticket
• If you want to find a house site, research it. If you can’t find it, look for the highest ground in the field as that is where both houses were built and oftentimes Indian camps were at.
• Also, look for entry ways to fields. In the spring, daffodils are indicators of a driveway.
